Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency
Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency is committed to fostering economic independence for low-income people and communities in Middle Tennessee. Its Head Start and Early Head Start programs support this goal by working alongside individuals and families to develop a path toward self-sufficiency.
In addition to Head Start and Early Head Start, MCCAA offers services for households and individuals working toward economic independence. Families eligible for Head Start or Early Head Start may also qualify for other agency programs.
Additional Programs and Services
- Comprehensive Family Case Management: Helps low-income households identify and overcome barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
- Elderly and Disabled Services: Addresses the needs of low-income older adults and people with disabilities to help them maintain independent living arrangements.
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program: Provides assistance with a household energy bill once per year.
- Weatherization Assistance Program: Improves the energy efficiency of low-income homes to reduce energy use.
- Tennessee Emergency Food Assistance Program: Distributes USDA commodity foods quarterly.
- Emergency Services: Assists households experiencing financial crises caused by unexpected events.
